The perfect day out!
One of our favorite day adventures from Villa Quince is the trail run from Tizi Oussem to the Azib Tamsoult waterfall—a route that’s as energizing as it is scenic.

We usually begin with a relaxed one-hour hike to warm up, taking in the early mountain light and the quiet rhythm of the trail. From there, we pick up a gentle running pace on the uphill sections. Our guide, Mohamed, is not only deeply familiar with the terrain—he’s also full of trail-running wisdom. He’ll show you how to control your pace on steep climbs, save energy over distance, and stay light on your feet.

The downhill is where the fun really kicks in. With Mohamed’s tips on posture, balance, and letting gravity do the work, it becomes smooth, fast, and surprisingly effortless.
This run is ideal for anyone who loves running and especially great for those training for a marathon or race. At over 2,000 meters altitude, the effort goes further—boosting endurance, strength, and aerobic capacity much more than running on flat roads. It’s the kind of training that feels tough in the moment but pays off big.

We finish at the waterfall for a well-earned break, followed by a tajine lunch in one of the most peaceful, tucked-away spots in the valley. Fresh, simple, and seriously satisfying.
This outing is the perfect mix of movement, nature, and Moroccan flavor—one we never get tired of sharing.
The trail run in the Toubkal National Park is definitely worth doing if wanting to gain endurance and at the same time enjoying the serene settingg!
